Leostream got a nice nod from blogger Scott Lowe:
«I found Propero’s product to be much too complicated; it seemed as if the application was really designed for something else and acting as a VDI connection broker was kind of an afterthought. Leostream’s product, on the other hand, seems really streamlined and really focused on the CB market. »

Thanks for using the software, Scott!

Too bad. . .

Leostream got greedy and Propero was bought by VMware.
Oh really?

You are mistaken.

VMware has yet to approach Leostream with any kind of Merger/Acquisition offer, as stunning is that is to believe.

I believe Propero was probably in negotiation with VMware as far back as VMworld 2006, although I do not have evidence to support this. I know the approximate size the Propero deal, but I don't know if it was a cash or stock trade.

There are certain other M&A deals that have blown up for Leostream over the years and certain partnering opportunities that never reached fruition. VMware continues to support Leostream in various VDI deals in progress now. In fact, VDI connection brokering sales have far outstripped P2V sales this year for Leostream.
